Large files cause performance issues, you still get crashes and file corruption, and the interface is bloated with menus that slow you down. Updates regularly break add-ons or mess up established workflows, scripting support is lacking, and the cloud-dependent setup makes it feel like you don't really control your own work. Lots of power under the hood, but way too much hassle for someone who wants to design and move forward.
Autodesk and AutoCAD are the biggest scams in their field. You can't even get Revit to export as a DWG file properly, and it's from the same company. It's pathetic. Even their own viewer tools and online links don't function. The pricing is outrageous, I don't think any software charges this much annually. Maybe an AI alternative will finally put them out of business.
This company is absolutely terrible. Their automated phone system tells you to visit their website to find a schedule callback option, which apparently doesn't exist. When you actually do get someone on the line, good luck understanding what they're saying. I've gotten more useful help from an inanimate object.
I migrated my hard drive to a solid state drive and now Autodesk is demanding an activation code for my AutoCAD LT license. They won't provide one. As a student I needed to renew my educational access for coursework. They only allow three attempts before forcing you to contact support. The first two times they rejected me saying my documentation wasn't enough. For my third attempt I gathered way more documentation but the renewal page just vanished entirely. The chatbot points to a page about student renewals that mentions a banner that only existed for a couple days and then disappeared. Now I have to waste support's time to get directed back to a page that should have always worked. On top of that, trying to access it through Autodesk Inventor just crashes or throws errors. This is unacceptable for any software, let alone business-grade software that costs thousands. I've gotten better support from free alternatives.

Hands down the absolute worst customer support I've ever dealt with. The only reason this company even exists is because they've got everyone locked into AutoCAD with no real competition. I'd give them negative stars if I could.
