I'd give Faith Gateway one star solely because of their nonexistent customer service, even though the products and selection are great. I've spent a couple hundred dollars over four months with them. A company's reputation should be judged on both product quality AND how they treat customers. That's what turns a one time buyer into someone who comes back and tells friends about you. Instead, they're pushing me away. Harper Collins, you need to step up here and make things better.
Ordered some books and their website promised delivery within 48 hours. My order didn't ship for 10 days and took another 4 days to arrive. I called customer service twice but got vague answers about why there was such a delay. Really disappointed with how they handled things. Won't be shopping with them again.
Bought an ebook this morning and was forced to create an online account just to read it on another website. I wasn't thrilled about installing yet another app, but I went along with it. Once I opened the book, it was total gibberish and completely impossible to read. I should have just gone straight to the Apple Store, which is what I ended up doing. I bought the same book from the same publisher there and it worked perfectly. I emailed asking for a refund since I couldn't even access what I paid for, but they said no refunds. So I'm out money for a product I literally cannot use. This was a frustrating experience and I won't be buying from this site or that publisher again.
