What Shoppers Say About YUMI
YUMI receives polarized feedback, with shoppers either enthusiastically praising the product quality or expressing frustration with operational issues. Satisfied customers highlight the superior taste and texture of the ice cream, praising its richness and creaminess without ice crystals, and commend the toddler snacks for using clean, real ingredients with purity certifications that appeal to health-conscious parents. However, a significant portion of reviewers report consistent problems with customer service responsiveness, order accuracy, inconsistent shipping timelines, and unclear promotional terms (such as coupon restrictions that apply only to subscriptions).
The product itself garners strong loyalty among satisfied customers, with parents reporting their toddlers eagerly consume the snacks and requesting them repeatedly. The main disconnect appears to be between product quality and the company's operational execution, particularly around order fulfillment, shipping reliability, and customer support responsiveness. Some customers also noted disappointment with product discontinuation, though the company has acknowledged shifts in its product lineup.

Sorted by: Most recentI've had vanilla ice cream for decades, but this is genuinely the best. The vanilla taste is so rich and deep it's hard to compare. Super creamy with the perfect amount of sweetness, not too much and not too little. The texture is fantastic with zero ice crystals or graininess. I'm continually amazed at how smooth and silky it stays. They've really nailed vanilla ice cream. I eat it straight from the container or put it in other desserts, and I keep buying it again and again.
ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. It's so hard to find clean toddler snacks out there. My 15 month old eats their stuff daily and loves every single flavor. There's nothing he won't try. As a parent, I appreciate that they have a clean purity award. Most brands don't get that certification.
Finding a ready made snack made with real, clean ingredients for my toddler is super tough, but Yumi hits the mark! It tastes great too. My daughter absolutely loves it and grabs the box from the cabinet asking for more. We're sticking with all their products. We tried the puffs first and now we're loving the toddler snack bars.
I really miss the purees and bites, but their other products are fantastic. I had another baby recently and wanted to find the purees again but looks like they've stopped making them. I reached out to their customer service team and got a fast response. They sent me a food guide and explained that they've shifted away from purees for now. Really impressed with how they helped me out.
The baby food itself is wonderful, though I do agree with recent feedback that it's gotten thinner the past couple weeks. The customer service though is a total mess. They mess up orders, don't get back to you fast, and shipping is all over the place. One week it came Monday, then it started coming late Wednesday, and recently it didn't show up until Thursday. It's incredibly unreliable when you work full time and are depending on it. One time a jar came with a broken seal, another time it arrived unlabeled. The whole experience has been frustrating because the food actually is good, they sneak in lots of protein, fiber, and greens so my son loved it and got proper nutrition. Then they sent out this vague email saying they're changing their service and pausing subscriptions, but the details were so unclear and confusing. I'd skip this because of all the stress and aggravation.
I had a coupon for $35 off Yumi that came in a Babylist box. I put items in my cart, but the discount code didn't work. Turns out it only applies to subscriptions, and it doesn't say that on the coupon. The company also isn't taking new orders right now, so I wasted time having to contact customer support about the whole thing.
I ordered vitamins and they showed up moldy and melted and unusable. The company claimed that was normal and wouldn't respond to my follow up emails asking for a refund, which I thought was totally reasonable.
A waste of money. This is a bad company. They change your order based on what they have in stock without asking first, usually swapping cheaper items like soups for the pricier things you ordered. The food tastes bad, their service stinks, and it's just throwing money away.
Yumi truly cares about what goes into my baby's meals. I appreciate that everything is organic and I know my baby is getting top quality nutrition with ingredients that are fresh and good for you. They also respond quickly if there's a problem with your order. Both times we had issues with our boxes when they arrived, the chat rep took care of it right away and got it escalated. The one bummer with those situations is that since Yumi makes just enough food for that week's boxes to avoid waste, if something goes wrong there's no way to get a replacement box that week. We bought some other stuff from their shop to fill in, but it was still disappointing when it happened.
I was really happy ordering from them for months, but my last 3 orders have been total disasters. Everything tastes like nothing anymore, and there's a thick layer of water sitting on top of each jar that's supposed to be textured and thick. Even after I mix it, it's so watery I can't get it onto my son's tiny spoon without it running off. He doesn't want it anymore since they all taste bland now. I called customer service and they insisted that's how they're supposed to be. A watered down impossible to serve mess. I canceled and I'm supposed to get a partial refund. It's absolutely not worth the money anymore. Really disappointed.
