What Shoppers Say About hotelcollection.com
Hotel Collection has received overwhelmingly negative feedback from shoppers, with 25 reviews averaging 1.7 out of 5. The dominant complaint centers on aggressive subscription practices and difficulty canceling orders. Multiple reviewers report unauthorized charges, mysterious fees added without clear consent, and aggressive billing tactics that prompted them to dispute charges through their banks. Customer service is frequently cited as unresponsive or unavailable, with some shoppers unable to reach support for weeks despite attempted contact via email and phone.
Among the small minority of positive reviews, some shoppers appear satisfied with their purchases, though these positive experiences are vastly outweighed by reports of deceptive business practices. Additional complaints include product defects (such as malfunctioning fans and leaking items), non-delivery of orders with no recourse, and what reviewers characterize as deliberately misleading checkout processes designed to trap customers into unwanted subscriptions and charges.

Sorted by: Most recentJust stay away. This is a scam and they have zero intention of actually sending you anything.
The scent quality is genuinely good, probably better than most competitors, but this company is clearly trying to pull one over on you. They reduced the bottle size from fifty milliliters to thirty milliliters and claimed the diffuser would somehow use less oil as a result. That makes no sense. Without any software updates to the diffuser, it's not going to magically consume less oil from the same type of container. The only way it uses less is because it runs out faster. Their advertising is full of tricks too. They ran a promotion saying you'd get two fifty milliliter bottles of oil, but when you go to purchase it rings up as two thirty milliliter bottles instead. When I called them out, they said that's what they actually have but never updated their ads. There are so many sketchy things about how they operate.
Don't buy the mystery box because it's literally a scam. You're buying a fifty dollar coupon for fifteen dollars but you also have to spend an additional seventy five dollars just to redeem it. When I finally got through to customer service after days of waiting, they defended themselves by saying their terms of service allows them to send coupons as mystery box items instead of real merchandise. I requested a refund and got a hard no. They need to be held accountable for misleading customers like this.
Their mystery box is a complete ripoff. You think you're getting something cool for fifteen bucks but it's actually just a fifty dollar coupon that forces you to spend an additional seventy five dollars to actually use it. It took forever to reach customer service and when I finally did they claimed it says in their terms that mystery boxes can contain coupons instead of actual merchandise. I asked for my money back and they flat out said no. This company needs to shut down for pulling this kind of deceptive garbage.
This company is a scam, plain and simple. I ordered one oil and one diffuser to try them out. I never signed up for any subscription or recurring orders but they went ahead and created a new charge on my credit card without permission. I tried reaching out multiple times to various email addresses I could find and never got a single response. I'm disputing the charge with my bank. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company.
You're paying way too much for refills and this product doesn't perform like they claim. My basic water and essential oil diffuser actually gives better scent coverage. The product is overhyped, ridiculously expensive, and they won't stop sending aggressive sales texts and emails. I'm glad I didn't fall for the monthly subscription trap. I found out there are other companies selling similar scents in refill bottles for around ten dollars per thirty two ounces, versus paying fifty dollars for just three ounces here. The machine itself works okay so far but it's absolutely not worth the price or all the marketing hype they've built around it.
The last four deliveries I got had empty bottles, though the mailer smelled amazing. I've asked to cancel my subscription three times and requested refunds for the damaged bottles but all they do is offer me discounts. I'm done. I'm not paying for empty bottles anymore especially when the diffuser isn't even throwing scent like it used to.
I got their home diffuser that attaches to your heating and air system and it works fine. The problem is with their financing partner. When I went to pay off the loan early, they tried to sneak in a sixty two dollar fee. I objected and the agent said it wouldn't be charged, but when they ran my card it went through anyway. I disputed it twice and got nowhere. Save yourself the trouble and just pay in full or look elsewhere. You can find better deals on Amazon anyway. Universal Account Servicing is their finance company and they're bad news.
I would give this zero stars if possible. Their subscription is a nightmare to cancel, they ignore all emails, and when I tried submitting a support request online they told me my phone number wasn't in their system. I'm going to try canceling through my credit card company but I'm warning everyone else to stay away from this company.
Stay far away from this company and Aroma three sixty because they're literally the same operation. Unfortunately I'm stuck with them now after buying a pro pod and penthouse diffuser. Their customer service is worse than the single star I'm giving them. The diffusers and scents don't actually cover the area they advertise and burn through oil way faster than promised. But the real problem is how bad their customer service actually is. I was signed up for a membership that costs money every year without my permission. When my oil ran out I tried moving up my subscription but couldn't, so I had to pay full price instead of the member discount. I've gotten half empty bottles that needed replacing. Shipping takes forever. My latest order had the wrong scent and they made me get a return label, buy my own packing materials, and send it back at my own expense before they'd send the correct one. That's making me pay money to fix their mistake. Seriously, do not get involved with this company.
