What Shoppers Say About La Sportiva
La Sportiva is rated 1.3 out of 5 by 25 shoppers, with an overwhelming majority expressing serious dissatisfaction. The primary complaints center on customer service responsiveness, with shoppers reporting unanswered emails, ignored voicemails, and difficulty obtaining basic assistance like parts replacements or clarification on sizing. Additional concerns include product quality issues such as premature stitching failure, sizing inconsistencies between website descriptions and shipped items, and undisclosed customs charges for international orders that significantly exceed purchase prices.
A small minority of reviewers gave positive ratings, though the vast majority found La Sportiva's customer service approach dismissive and unhelpful. Shoppers consistently note that premium pricing does not align with either product durability or the level of customer support received. The company's tendency to deflect responsibility or redirect customers between retailers and distributors has frustrated buyers seeking straightforward resolutions to legitimate product and service concerns.

Sorted by: Most recentBought a pair of Ultra Raptor shoes and the right shoe's sole came deformed in a way that would've caused injury to anyone who put them on - it twisted your ankle. Thankfully the online shop did refund me. I wanted to give this supposedly reputable brand a chance but after that experience, never again.
Hands down one of the most frustrating brand and customer service experiences I've had in years. Incredibly irresponsible company with no real accountability, especially regarding counterfeit products. Steer clear of these people.
My Katana climbing shoes fell apart in two months. I contacted their support team to see what could be done. Since I'd already sent the shoes for repair, they basically said there was nothing they could help with since the shoes were being fixed. They didn't offer any alternatives or solutions. Really bad customer service and they lost me as a customer.
I rarely leave reviews but felt I needed to warn others about the La Sportiva Trango Tower GTX boots. After six months of regular use, the sole was completely worn down and needed replacement. Within 20 hikes the tip was gone. What they don't tell you is these boots have an extremely soft, technical sole compound that grips wonderfully but wears out incredibly fast. The sole deteriorated in just half a year of normal hiking - the exact activity they advertise for. When I contacted La Sportiva directly to work something out, they said this was normal wear and tear for such technical boots and refused any responsibility. I've had much better luck with other brands. Instead of actually solving the problem, they charged me to resole them myself. Bottom line: I paid premium prices for top-tier boots that fell apart in six months. Now I'm paying again out of pocket to fix them.
Paid £175 for a pair of trainers that turned out to be the wrong size, so I returned them unused with all tags still attached. I had to pay £18 out of pocket for return shipping since they don't offer returns service. Six months later they finally emailed about my refund - but here's the kicker, they claimed the trainers had been worn when they absolutely had not been, and they deducted import taxes from my money back. I only got £87 total. Skip this company. The shoes might be decent, but their return policy is completely dishonest.
