What Shoppers Say About TOD’S
Tod's receives polarized reviews, with shoppers divided sharply between those praising exceptional in-store service and those frustrated by declining product quality. Positive reviewers highlight professional, attentive staff and managers who go the extra mile. However, the majority of reviews cite significant durability issues across multiple product categories, including belts falling apart after minimal wear, bag snaps breaking quickly, handles coming loose, squeaky driver mocs with shifting insoles, and shoes with defects that retailers refuse to address after the return window closes. Long-time customers note a marked decline in craftsmanship compared to products purchased decades ago, with some reporting that older Tod's items still perform reliably despite heavy use while newer purchases fail within weeks. At premium price points (600 dollars per pair for some items), shoppers express disappointment that products do not meet quality expectations or justify the cost.
Customers report mixed experiences with the company's return and warranty policies. While some note quick replacements during the return period, others encountered refusals to provide credit or compensation for defective items once the return deadline passed, even for unworn products. The contrast between highly rated customer service interactions and poor product quality creates frustration, with reviewers questioning whether the brand still stands behind its products as a luxury manufacturer should.

Sorted by: Most recentHad a rough experience with this company. The shoes got delivered while we were away, and they just didn't fit right. Since there's only a 14-day return window and we got back after that, we couldn't send them back for a refund even though we never wore them outside the house. My recommendation is skip ordering from their website.
Similar to another review I saw, I bought really pricey shoes for a special occasion. Nothing for several days, then I got word it was being worked on and would ship out. Around a week after purchasing, they informed me the shoes were unavailable. So I placed another order and the identical situation happened. Total lack of explanation or communication. Never dealt with anything like this before.
Loved the whole experience! Ordered a pair of moccasins and they're absolutely great. A little on the pricier side, but definitely something you'll want to keep.
Great experience overall! Got a pair of moccasins and they're wonderful. A bit pricey, sure, but definitely worth having in your collection.
My elderly mom was helped by Anna at the Tod's store and she went out of her way to be thoughtful, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. Truly grateful for staff like that!
Anna at the Tod's store took fantastic care of my 86-year-old mom and went above and beyond with her helpfulness, knowledge, and kindness. Really appreciated it!
I'm right there with all the other negative reviews out there. Nearly two months now and my refund never came through. The management is a mess, and I'm done shopping with them whether it's their physical stores or online.
Bought 350 pound driving shoes online with a promised 3 to 5 day delivery window. Two weeks passed with nothing so I reached out and they said they'd look into it with UPS. A few days later they email back saying UPS lost the package but they won't refund until their UPS investigation wraps up, which they claimed would take ten days. Two more weeks go by, I contact them again and they say they're almost done. Now another week has gone and still nothing, forcing me to fight it with my credit card company. Absolutely terrible to deal with.
Five weeks have passed and my shoe order still hasn't arrived. No updates whatsoever.
Spent 230 pounds on Tod's driving loafers and regretted every bit of it. Purchased mid-August 2020 and within seven weeks both pairs had holes developing in the heels and worn down soles. Tod's response blamed the delicate pebbled sole design and claimed wear patterns depend on individual walking styles. That's total nonsense, plain and simple. Tod's knowingly sells shoes that don't hold up, then tries to make it your fault as the customer.
