What Shoppers Say About Tupperware Brands
Tupperware Brands is rated 1.1 out of 5 by 10 shoppers, with the overwhelming majority expressing serious dissatisfaction. Shoppers report multiple systemic issues: immediate credit card charges without corresponding shipment tracking, a confusing and crash-prone online warranty claim process, and a lifetime warranty that no longer functions as advertised. Customers who were loyal to the brand for decades report that warranty replacements now offer minimal vouchers (around $8 to $13) instead of the full product replacements they historically received, forcing them to pay substantially out of pocket for replacements. Beyond warranty problems, reviewers cite declining product quality, with modern items like the Super Cereal Storer failing to match the durability of vintage Tupperware from decades past. One reviewer also documented a negative experience with the consultant sales model, receiving neither products nor host bonuses after a party sale.
The consistent theme across reviews is broken trust with a once-respected brand. Shoppers feel the company has fundamentally changed its warranty policy without transparency, charging premium prices while delivering budget-quality products and treating long-term customers poorly. The combination of billing issues, unresponsive customer service, process failures, and warranty deterioration has created a deeply negative customer experience that reviewers believe reflects the company's documented financial troubles.

Sorted by: Most recentI placed an order and they charged my credit card immediately, within minutes. Then nothing happened. No tracking, no updates, just silence. When I asked them where my shipping information was, I pointed out that if they weren't ready to ship, the charge should have stayed pending instead of posting right away. It took reaching out twice before they finally sent tracking info, and by then I'd already said something to their customer service team. They called me back after I got the tracking, so their response came way too late. My package still hasn't even shipped at this point. Whether I end up canceling or getting this order, one thing is for sure: I'm never buying from Tupperware again.
The warranty claim process on their website let me down big time. For three decades, I've been using consultants to replace broken Tupperware, and they always swapped out the entire container plus lid, even if just one piece was damaged. This experience was totally different. The online warranty system kept crashing and when it was up, it was confusing to use. I had to resubmit my claim multiple times before it went through. Once approved, they offered me $3 to replace a lid on the Oval Modular Mate 5, which sells for $30. The same email said lids aren't available separately, so I couldn't even use that money. I'm now stuck with a container I can't fix, producing unnecessary waste that'll sit in a landfill forever. They're basically telling me their lifetime warranty isn't actually a lifetime warranty. I watched my mother and grandmothers be Tupperware fans, and I've been loyal since the 1990s. Not anymore.
What's going on with Tupperware's lifetime warranty? That promise was why I paid their premium prices in the first place. When an item cracked, they offered me $13. A replacement from them costs $41. Who's going to pay forty bucks for a small food container? This is exactly why Tupperware is heading toward bankruptcy!
The Super Cereal Storer is just awful. The lid keeps popping off the hinge. I've still got a cereal container from the 1970s that works fine. Tupperware's quality has really tanked over the years. It's wrong that they're selling such low quality items and still slapping the Tupperware name on them.
The company's lifetime warranty is basically useless, just like others have mentioned. I've wasted two weeks and countless hours trying to get a replacement lid for a Modular Mates 4 container. Tupperware won't just send a lid. Instead they give you a voucher for whatever amount they decide a lid is worth (like $8.49) and force you to buy a whole new canister to use it (the cheapest option with that lid runs $17 before tax and shipping). Customers end up paying out of pocket to use their so called lifetime warranty. It might be a small amount in this case, but it really shows how bad their customer service has become. If you're considering dealing with them, understand that the lifetime warranty isn't worth what most people think it is.
I'm writing this review because my experience with Tupperware and a consultant was honestly one of the worst customer service encounters I've ever had. I hosted a party where Tupperware got all the sales money, the consultant got her 20% cut, and I got absolutely nothing. No products, no host bonuses, not even an apology. My order went to the wrong address and ended up somewhere else, and instead of owning up to it, I was told to basically pray that whoever got it would send it back. I was actually instructed to go to an apartment complex seven miles away and walk around calling for the package, which was unsafe and completely unreasonable. When I contacted Tupperware corporate, they said it wasn't their responsibility. Both the consultant and the company ignored me and treated me terribly. With no real help or solution in sight, I had to ask my bank to reverse the charge to protect myself. Meanwhile Tupperware walked away with all the money from the sales.
The work schedule is brutal and unreasonable. They demand 10 hours Monday through Friday, then expect you back 8 to 10 hours on the weekends too. Getting a day off is almost impossible, and asking for one results in pushback or termination. Breaks are hard to come by. You're classified as a contractor but managed like a full-time employee. The workplace is chaotic and disorganized. Many staff members don't speak or read English fluently, which explains why orders get messed up or go missing so often.
This company is an absolute scam, and I wish I could give them less than one star! After a month with no items, I emailed asking where they were. Their response was to use a tracking code, but when I looked it up, the entire page was in Chinese characters! I never received my order! They can't actually prove delivery to my address, just that something got tracked. Now they're telling me they'll refund 50% for products I never got in the first place! Tupperware has become just another Chinese scam operation. Don't spend your money on them.
I bought a small Tupperware Breadsmart not long ago. The packaging was fantastic, really impressive, and the product itself looked great too. That changed fast though. Once I put bread in it and followed all the directions, mold showed up within about five days. I can't recommend this product to anyone. It's not worth your money.
Tupperware's products themselves are fantastic. We've been buying them for over 40 years and never had issues. They're reliable and long lasting. But when our items finally need replacing, the warranty system doesn't work. The claims website is down, and when you call customer support, you're stuck with an automated system that demands personal details like your age group before connecting you to a real person. If you don't hand over that info, the system just hangs up. From what I can find, there are processing fees, shipping charges, and handling costs plus taxes that might add up to more than the original item price. I don't feel comfortable with how secretive and difficult they've made claiming the warranty, especially forcing personal information out of customers before giving them access to help. The only reason I didn't rate them one star is that the original products are so well made. But standing behind what you sell is just as crucial as quality in my view.
