What Shoppers Say About Winebasket.com
Winebasket.com receives a 1.8 rating from 12 shoppers, with the majority of reviews reflecting serious operational and service issues. The most frequent complaints center on late deliveries that arrive after holidays, damaged or spoiled products upon arrival, misleading product photos and descriptions that do not match what customers receive, high shipping costs, and unresponsive or dismissive customer service when problems occur. Customers also report refund delays and a lack of accountability from the company when shipments fail to reach their intended recipients.
Among the few positive reviews, shoppers praise quick shipping, good communication about order status, and satisfaction with the quality of items received. However, these positive experiences are vastly outnumbered by negative feedback, suggesting inconsistent service and fulfillment reliability that undermines customer confidence in the retailer.

Sorted by: Most recentPlaced a Christmas order that needed to arrive on the twenty-fourth. It didn't show up until several days after Christmas. The fruit inside was already bad and people couldn't eat it. When I asked for my money back they told me it would be a two week wait. That's unacceptable when charges hit instantly. They market themselves on quality but clearly don't deliver. The gift didn't get there on time plus the fruit was inedible. I sent them an email complaining and said I'd have to dispute the charge if they didn't process it faster. Their rep basically told me to dispute it myself and get my refund that way. Apparently they don't care that chargebacks hurt their business and reputation. It's really disappointing to send company gifts and have to fight just to get your money back from poor service.
Misleading product photos. I was in a rush and grabbed the Mondavi Triple thinking it had two of each variety based on what was shown. Turned out to be just one bottle of each. This kind of false advertising won't get me to come back to Winebasket.
Stay away from this business. Their shipping fees are way too high and orders take forever to arrive. There are definitely better options out there.
First and final purchase from winebasket.com. Their White Wine and Birthday Gift Basket was supposed to have an assortment of brownies, cookies, Moscato wine, and a basket. What actually arrived was a bottle of Chardonnay, a red tin of stale cookies like those holiday tins, and no basket at all. The ribbon was personalized correctly at least. Complete mismatch between what the website shows and what gets delivered. I wish I could upload pictures with this. Don't get tricked by their website images. They're not showing you the real deal. Pretty sketchy that I had to post my feedback somewhere else since I couldn't leave it on their site.
Really let down by this experience. I sent a birthday gift basket as a present but it never made it to the person I was sending it to. When I reached out to customer service, they were quite rude and kept blaming their shipping partner instead of taking responsibility. This is their job to make sure items get delivered. Don't waste your money here.
Got the Cucina Wine Basket shipped across country to my daughter for her birthday. Everything arrived quickly and I was constantly kept in the loop about where it was. She was so happy with it!!! Would definitely order from them again, really appreciate it.
Ordered a three hundred dollar wine and chocolate basket. At the final step they made me pick their forty-four dollar overnight shipping option because of chocolate melting concerns. I agreed. The basket came three days later than promised with two chocolate pieces that had partially melted. I asked for a shipping refund and they said yes. Two weeks go by with nothing. I called back and got told their accounting is too swamped. Seriously? It takes one click to process a refund. Something feels off here. I normally use WineCountry.com for these kinds of gifts but decided to try Winebasket.com this time since they had what I wanted. Big mistake. This will be my only order from them. Not confident this is a trustworthy business.
Such a disappointment. You're supposed to tell them what message to put on the ribbon when you order. Mine showed up with a blank ribbon instead. The support team wouldn't help. Find somewhere else.
This company operates like a scam. There's basically no customer service. They charged my account but the basket never showed up. They didn't even try to fix it and flat out rejected my refund request. Find another place to buy from.
For a gift delivery company, the shipping process was way too slow. They went with FedEx and even though the building has a package desk, they said they couldn't complete delivery. Then they actually charged me twenty bucks for this failed delivery. The support team here is awful and I won't be ordering anymore.
