Used the key for two months and then it stopped working. Sent four emails requesting help or a replacement and got nothing but the same generic response every time.

Terrible customer service, pretty much non-existent throughout the whole experience. The entire buying process is incredibly difficult and unhelpful. I wanted to spend fifteen minutes and buy these keys but I'm now two days in and still haven't completed the purchase because of useless assistance from Yubico and their so-called UK resellers. The resellers won't help you directly they just point you somewhere else. Dealing with this company will give you a serious headache. They're unhelpful, rude, waste your time, and act like they're doing you a favor.

I've been using different YubiKey models since 2014 and haven't had any complaints. The only reason I've replaced any is because I misplaced them or wanted newer capabilities like the USB C version or NFC functionality. They're clearly the best in the business for a good reason.

The key won't work with my Huawei phone through NFC and it's not compatible with my Kraken account either. Spent a full week trying to get it set up and ended up giving up. Going to send it back.

The main issue is that keys can't be duplicated as backups. They're locked down so tightly that even the actual account owner can get stuck outside. If your key gets lost or fails there's literally no way back in. Another problem is that often you can't register two separate keys for the same account. This creates a serious risk where the legitimate owner gets locked out of their own account.
