What Shoppers Say About Lax.com
Lax.com has a sharply divided customer base, with ratings clustering at both extremes. Shoppers who report positive experiences praise successful team orders and standard purchases that arrive as expected. However, a substantial portion of reviewers report serious problems: unresponsive customer service with only automated responses, missing items from orders, product quality concerns, expensive return shipping fees, and reluctance to stand behind warranty claims or defective products. Several customers describe difficulty reaching anyone at the company for resolution, and complaints about hidden charges and additional fees during checkout recur across multiple reviews.
The company appears to struggle most with customer service responsiveness and order accuracy. Reviewers report being asked to handle their own warranty claims with minimal support, dealing with refund delays, and encountering obstacles when trying to return items. While some shoppers have completed transactions without issue, those who experienced problems found it extremely difficult to get help resolving them. This inconsistency in both product quality and service recovery is a major concern for potential customers.

Sorted by: Most recentOur sons' team got their jerseys, shorts, and shirt here and wound up spending $150 with all the extra charges. The stuff they sent wasn't great quality. We're going to push the team to look elsewhere next time around.
Customer service here is nonexistent! I've been sitting around waiting for my refund and tried reaching out through email and phone. The only thing I get back are automated responses. I honestly question whether anyone actually works there. I'm spreading the word at every lacrosse tournament I attend to steer clear of this place! Total disaster!
Purchased a stick for my son right before the holidays. It snapped in less than a month. Contacted LAX and got a basic response with instructions to click through to handle the warranty claim themselves. Zero effort to stand behind what they sell or offer a replacement. And the stick wasn't inexpensive. Shop carefully here, because getting actual customer support from LAX is basically impossible.
I placed two separate orders totaling roughly six hundred dollars. First one came through fine, so I went ahead with a second purchase for a head along with custom stringing and a shaft. Only the shaft arrived. They insisted the head had been sent and asked me to send pictures of what I got, then claimed there was security footage from the packing area showing it went out. It didn't. I'm out $185 for equipment I never received, and instead of fixing it, they basically said I was making things up. Update: After two days of pushing back, they finally shipped the head I paid for and it arrived recently on 1/23/25, so they did end up making it right.
Ended up $10.62 in the hole trying to purchase Nike sweats that were too big for my kid, and that's what they charged me just to send them back. No sweats, no money. A while back I ordered something else and they sent the completely wrong thing. They covered that swap cost but I'm still frustrated. I know better now.
My son's lacrosse squad orders from LAX.com regularly for team gear, so I'm aware these are all custom items with tight ordering windows and longer production timelines after checkout closes. Usually my orders arrive without problems, but this time I'm really disappointed. Got notified via email that one item fell short of the minimum production requirement and received a refund instead. I requested they swap it for something else so my son could still get his custom team stuff, but they won't process a new order while the shop is shut down. The kicker is I didn't find out the original item wasn't available until after the ordering window had already shut, making it impossible to pick a different option.
Received the wrong product. Ordered through the team lacrosse shop and the item I got had a football label on the bag. Can't get anyone to pick up the phone, and emails feel like they're disappearing into a black hole. Still waiting on a response and hoping for a prompt fix for their error.
The folks handling shipments apparently can't take five minutes to get the correct item or right size out the door. High-end sports equipment gets shipped in nothing but a plastic bag with no real protection, and it shows up grimy and beat up. This is just unacceptable.
I shop here consistently and they deliver quick. Always stock what I'm looking for.
Grabbed a few things and one pair of cleats came in the wrong size. They made me pay for return shipping, then refused my refund over tape on the box even though they've never been worn. There are other lacrosse shops with way better customer service that won't cost you nearly $150 in frustration. My sons' teams in the area will be hearing about what happened.
