What Shoppers Say About HomeWetBar.com
HomeWetBar.com has a highly polarized customer base, with 20 reviews averaging 1.9 out of 5. The majority of reviewers report serious quality control issues, particularly with personalized items and product sets. Complaints center on inconsistent sizing, incomplete kits arriving without assembly materials or missing pieces, poor etching quality, and visible defects like chips, seams, and rough monogramming. Many customers express frustration with refund policies, reporting that the company offers only partial store credit or charges restocking fees rather than providing full refunds or replacements for defective items. Several reviewers note that customer service initially requires repeated requests before addressing problems.
A small segment of satisfied customers praise HomeWetBar.com for fast shipping and responsive customer service, with at least one reviewer reporting a same-day resolution to a damaged item that included a prompt replacement shipped without delay. However, these positive experiences appear to be exceptions rather than the norm. The recurring theme across negative reviews is a disconnect between promised customer satisfaction and actual resolution policies, with many shoppers feeling that the company prioritizes store credit and restocking fees over genuine customer care.

Sorted by: Most recentDon't order from here. I bought 2 sets of crystal cut glasses and the sizes were completely different, with different rim sizes and heights. Since I was giving these to a friend I asked about replacing one. The response was to send it back but I'd have to pay for shipping myself. The quality control is inconsistent and they know it's hard for people to return stuff once they factor in shipping costs. Just avoid this place.
The stuff itself looks fine quality-wise. The real problem is how they run things. I bought two kits but they showed up as loose items without what you need to put them together or complete the sets. They offered to send me boxes so I could assemble everything myself and throw in the missing pieces for no extra charge, but only after I asked repeatedly. In the end I just returned everything and bought pre-made kits from somewhere else, and now I'm stuck paying to ship the original order back. They come off as pretty disorganized.
Be careful! This company does not actually follow through on their promise that you can get a refund if you're not happy. I bought some glasses and the etching was incomplete. They won't repair them or give me money back. All they're willing to do is throw me fifteen percent in store credit. That's not going to cut it. Why would I spend money there again? I paid for a specific product and service and I expect to get what I paid for, not just something that passes the basic test. The incomplete etching makes them look cheap and poorly made. You might get lucky, but do you really want to take that chance when the company won't stand behind what they sell?
Got a couple of personalized glasses and the whole thing from order to delivery took just 5 days. One arrived with a chip right where my fingers would grip it, so I contacted them about a replacement or refund since I didn't want to risk cutting myself. They answered fast, even on a Sunday evening, asked for photos and said they'd ship out a replacement at no charge. Really impressed with how they handled it.
Really disappointed. Bought a personalized glass that showed up with a huge seam right down the middle. When I contacted their customer service team, the only options they gave me were a fifteen percent refund or returning it with a thirty percent stocking charge. No apology, no offer to redo the item properly. This is hands down the worst purchase I've ever made.
I ordered a monogrammed ashtray and it arrived damaged at the corner. It wasn't damaged during shipping, it came damaged. They did send a replacement though. Unfortunately the monogram on the replacement was pretty rough quality, way worse than it should be. The customer service rep made some weak excuse about the marble base but that wasn't the issue. All they offered was fifteen percent off store credit. I wouldn't give them another penny.
I got an engraved cutting board to give to a friend as a wedding gift. Express shipping was quick and the board itself is beautiful, though it says made in China on the packaging. Here's what upset me: the engraving is super shallow and barely darker than the wood itself. Almost no ink got applied. You can barely make out the words and only feel them if you run your hand over them. I called customer service and they basically told me to rub cutting board oil on it. Really? They've obviously seen this problem before so why don't they get the engraving right the first time instead of overselling and underdelivering? I'm willing to bet if I'd worked with the manufacturer directly in China they would have done better work and probably charged way less. Completely let down.
They shipped me a different customer's order and when I called them, nobody responded. After I stopped the payment through my credit card, suddenly they tell me I need to do all these things like I work for them. Sure. This looks like some guy running the whole thing out of a garage somewhere, probably enjoying too many beers and mixing up orders left and right. The stuff I actually got was dirty and the glassware looked like it'd been sitting at a flea market for years.
Got the 6 piece bourbon smoker kit with engraving for my husband's Christmas gift. Ordered it just six days before Christmas with 3 day shipping and it arrived on the 24th. The engraving looked perfect and the whole package was exactly what I wanted. My husband is so happy with it. A couple suggestions though: it would be nice to choose different glassware options since the standard glass is pretty but I would have preferred heavy crystal even if it cost extra. Also the torch instructions could be clearer because I wasn't sure if I needed a refillable canister or a butane cartridge so I ended up buying both at a hardware store. These are small things though. Overall this is a fantastic gift and great quality. Haven't used it yet but my husband is pumped. Would definitely buy from them again and would tell others to check them out.
The items are not well made and everything is manufactured overseas, not here. They use cheap low quality foam that doesn't hold its shape. It's flimsy foam glued to thin cardboard that bends easily. That's a problem when the foam is supposed to protect the wine and all the accessories underneath. The box is undersized so everything gets crammed in way too tight. The foam looks beat up and worn before it even gets to you. They stuck the personal message on the shipping label in tiny print instead of a proper card like normal businesses do. This is amateur hour and way overpriced for what you're actually getting.
