Hedley & Bennett Reviews
What Shoppers Say About Hedley & Bennett
Hedley & Bennett is rated 1.1 out of 5 by 13 shoppers, with the overwhelming majority leaving one-star reviews. The primary complaint across nearly all reviews centers on severe order fulfillment failures: customers report items showing as in stock but never arriving, weeks of delayed shipments with tracking numbers that show no carrier pickup, and unresponsive customer service via email with no phone support option. Multiple reviewers described orders placed in late November that remained unshipped into mid-December, missing holiday gift deadlines. The company has allegedly offered replacements or refunds but failed to follow through on those commitments.
Beyond shipping issues, one reviewer noted a product quality concern with pot holders that were dangerously thick and caused one to catch fire when it contacted a stove heating element. While some customers indicated they appreciate the apron designs and have owned Hedley & Bennett products before, the current fulfillment and customer service problems have left them unable to recommend the company. The consistent pattern of these issues across multiple independent reviews suggests systemic operational problems rather than isolated incidents.

Sorted by: Most recentAvoid this company. Their customer service basically doesn't exist. Email is your only option and you're just hoping they'll respond. When they do answer, it's generic and they never actually acknowledge your problem. My son bought an essential apron as a gift for about $77. I decided to exchange it for a fancier floral apron that cost around $136, so I charged the $59 difference to my card. The fancier apron showed up and was nowhere near worth that price. It was thin, rough textured, and the color didn't match the pictures. I wanted to swap it for another apron around $106. When I emailed about returning the pricey one, they said I'd only get credited for the $59 I personally paid, not the $77 my son originally paid. They're calling the $77 a discount and basically keeping it because I only paid $59 of my own money toward the expensive apron. So I returned a $77 apron and they won't credit that return. They want me to pay $47 for a third apron when I already sent back one worth $77.
Do not order from here. You won't get what you paid for and they won't answer you. I have no idea why they have so much support from major brands. Don't expect to be taken seriously as a customer.
Not only did the wrong apron show up with the wrong personalization, but I've been waiting two weeks for someone to respond. They totally ruined Christmas. I've stopped payment and honestly don't get how top restaurants work with these people. Maybe if you're a celebrity they take you seriously, but regular customers don't get that treatment. I get that it's a busy holiday season, but when you're selling gift items, you have an obligation to actually help your customers.
