What Shoppers Say About Peter Millar
Peter Millar is rated 1.6 out of 5 by 13 shoppers, with the overwhelming majority of reviews citing serious concerns about product quality, pricing, and customer service. Reviewers report that materials have deteriorated significantly, with issues including color fading after washing, declining build quality despite premium pricing, and slow shipping times (14 days) compared to industry standards. Customer service interactions have frustrated buyers, with complaints about inflexible price matching policies and requiring customers to cover return costs for defective items.
A small minority of shoppers appear satisfied with the brand, but they represent only a fraction of feedback received. The consensus among dissatisfied customers is that Peter Millar no longer justifies its price point relative to product quality and that the brand has declined noticeably over recent years. Common grievances center on the gap between premium pricing and the actual durability and materials of finished products.

Sorted by: Most recentTo Peter Millar's Customer Service Team, I placed a shoe order and was really disappointed to find out shipping takes fourteen full days. When you look at what other big retailers and luxury brands are doing these days, most ship standard orders in just two to five business days, often with free or expedited options available. Waiting two weeks feels seriously outdated and not acceptable from a premium company like this. It's caused real inconvenience since I needed them sooner and now I'm hesitant about buying from you again. Your competitors are way faster with their apparel and shoe deliveries without cutting corners on quality. I'd really like to see you update your shipping standards to match what customers expect from a high-end brand. Would appreciate understanding more about why this took so long or if I missed faster shipping choices. Thanks for considering this feedback.
Used to be a solid brand maybe five years back, but now everything is just overpriced garbage. Don't waste your money on anything from them. I'd kill to have photos showing how much better their stuff used to be compared to now. I'm shocked at how cheap their materials have become. They seem to have gone out of their way to rip customers off.
I grabbed a long sleeve golf polo that fit perfectly when I got it. After just one wash though, the color just disappeared. Way too expensive for what you actually get, and the quality is nowhere near what it should be.
Peter Millar just lost me as a customer for good. I bought a shirt jacket that was marked down 30% back in late December. Yesterday I got an email announcing their new 50% off sale and of course my jacket was included. I tried calling them the next day and got rejected when I asked for a price match. They said no because I already got a discount before and that disqualifies me. The thing hadn't even arrived yet! It's insulting how little they care about customer loyalty. That will definitely be my last order from them.
Purchased an item as a gift for my pregnant wife and it showed up with a stain on it, either from makeup or bleach. When I told them about it, they said I'd have to print out a return label, drive to a FedEx, and wait in line to send it back. That's their defect, not mine, so I pushed back. They came back offering fifty percent compensation for a gift for my expectant wife. That's ridiculous. They did eventually offer to arrange a pickup from my house through FedEx which I'm waiting to see how that works out. The fact that they're deleting customer reviews tells you everything about the integrity of this brand. Peter Millar's reputation deserves the hit it's taking. Zero integrity here.
Three major problems with this place and that's why I'm done shopping here. The prices are way too high. The quality stinks. And the customer service is terrible.
Found this brand online and really liked how the stuff looked. Before ordering though I wanted to know where everything gets made. I searched the website and couldn't find any information about manufacturing location even though they go on about being a quality brand with responsible sourcing. They just mention being based and designed somewhere but nothing about actual production. I tried their chat feature and you'd think that would be an easy question to answer. I waited around for two hours and eventually gave up. All I can figure is they're hiding something because the clothes are probably made cheap somewhere overseas and shipped everywhere without caring about the environmental impact. Why not just put your manufacturing information on the website?
Got my husband a jacket here and even though the price made me nervous, the brand seemed reputable so I took a chance. He opened it Christmas morning and wore it just twice before the seams started splitting apart. You shouldn't have that problem with a jacket that costs almost three hundred bucks. I reached out twice to try fixing this but never heard back. No wonder the Better Business Bureau gave them an F. This company is a total scam.
Terrible business practices here. The company claims their animals aren't mistreated, but the truth is they absolutely are. The ethics are awful and the cashmere they're selling is just horrible quality.
I was really pumped to try Peter Millar for the first time. My order came damaged though with a pretty deep cut right at the shoulder that's big enough to put your finger through. When I asked about returning it, they only offered me either an e-gift card or half my money back. I paid a hundred dollars and the product showed up damaged, so getting only fifty percent back seems crazy. I won't be shopping there again.
