What Shoppers Say About Replacements
Replacements receives sharply divided reviews, with shoppers either highly satisfied or significantly disappointed. Positive reviewers praise the company's ability to source discontinued dinnerware and commend their secure packaging and swift delivery. However, more than half of reviewers report serious issues: receiving wrong items or lower quality than ordered, unexpected product defects like rust stains, and steep pricing that some find unjustifiable. A recurring complaint involves return shipping costs, which customers must pay out of pocket even when items arrive damaged or incorrect, creating frustration and financial loss.
Service quality varies notably in customer accounts. While some shoppers report that Replacements resolved order errors without hesitation, others describe unhelpful or rude support interactions, particularly regarding return shipping disputes. The pricing criticism appears consistent across multiple reviews, with shoppers questioning whether costs justify the product quality received. These divided experiences suggest that while Replacements can fulfill niche orders for discontinued patterns, reliability and customer service consistency remain significant concerns for potential buyers.

Sorted by: Most recentI got my order quickly and it was packed really carefully. The figurine arrived in excellent shape with no damage.
This business operates unethically. I inquired about selling our family's sterling silverware service for 12 and they made an offer that was offensive. They didn't just apply a standard markup but offered an insulting fraction of what it's actually worth. I wouldn't recommend them.
This company operates like a scam. They convinced me to send $2500 in china to them promising to pay that amount. When it arrived, they claimed it was in the wrong classification even though they're the ones who selected it, and said it was worth almost nothing. They offered to donate it instead. These were valuable antique plates worth considerably more. I suspect their strategy was to get the merchandise and hope I wouldn't demand it back so they could resell it.
My glassware arrived in perfect shape despite FedEx roughing up the box. The protective packaging was really impressive and did its job well. Everything showed up on schedule as promised. I'll definitely come back if I need to order again.
The shipping fees are ridiculously high and the delivery is painfully slow. I'm frustrated with myself for paying so much just to have my package sit in a warehouse for over a week. The customer service team hasn't been responsive at all. My order still hasn't arrived and nobody can tell me when it will. I'd stay away from this company.
I'm completely shocked at the condition of the salt and pepper shakers I received as a gift. This was far worse than disappointing. When I opened the package, I found something unacceptable for any business to ship. The pepper shaker still had old pepper residue inside like it hadn't been cleaned in years. Both shakers were covered in grime and a sticky film, looking like they came straight from a thrift store without any care. One shaker was missing its lid, making it unusable. Nobody bothered to clean these items or verify they were complete. This isn't about vintage character or normal wear and tear. This is gross, careless, and shows a complete failure in quality checks. Charging full price for items shipped in this condition is offensive. I expected professional service and quality standards.
After I placed an order for dishes and table linens, I requested to add 8 small side plates. Customer service said this would mean an extra $100 shipping charge because it would require two boxes instead of one. I was skeptical about the cost being that high and asked them to verify, but they confirmed it. Reluctantly I paid. When my two large boxes arrived, the first one held all the dishes with good packing but also a ton of filler material. The second box had just the placemats and napkins but was 95% air cushioning material. Those cloth items would have easily fit with the dishes and saved money. I essentially paid $100 to ship mostly packing material across the world. I asked them for a refund on the second box shipping since it seemed unreasonable. I thought any business would agree this wasn't right.
Their service is fantastic and the staff is really helpful. My teapot broke and I lost the lid, which was a big problem until they helped me find a replacement that I love. They carry lots of discontinued and hard to find items, so if something breaks they can usually help you out. Both times I've ordered, my items arrived securely packaged and in great condition.
Watch out for the shipping costs with this company. While they do have useful products, make sure you know what you're buying since returning anything is expensive and you foot the bill. I bought two cookware pieces for $250 but when they arrived, they didn't match the description. The return shipping through USPS alone cost over $100. The products were supposed to be all glass but had a non-stick coating that didn't match what was advertised. I'm stuck paying $100 to get a $250 refund.
