What Shoppers Say About Shoes For Crews
Shoes For Crews receives overwhelmingly negative feedback, with 17 shoppers rating the store 1.6 out of 5. The primary complaints center on customer service failures, shipping issues, and return policies. Shoppers report undelivered orders, wrong sizes shipped, refusal to cover return shipping costs despite company errors, and expensive restocking fees that significantly offset purchase prices. Multiple reviewers mention long-term loyalty to the brand only to have that relationship damaged by mishandled orders and what they describe as unhelpful support staff. A small number of shoppers defend the shoe quality itself, with one reviewer noting positive experiences through the European site and praising the slip-resistant features that make them popular for food service and similar roles.
The few positive ratings appear to reflect satisfaction with product quality rather than the overall shopping experience. Customers who do return praise the shoes' durability and slip-resistance. However, even these supporters acknowledge the broader pattern of service complaints evident in other reviews. The stark rating distribution suggests systemic operational issues, particularly around order fulfillment, customer service responsiveness, and return logistics. Shoppers considering this retailer should weigh product reputation against documented concerns about company handling of problems.

Sorted by: Most recentShoes for Crews has really gone downhill. There's zero quality control anymore. My last two pairs had completely different sizing, even though they were the same size ordered. One shoe was wide and the other was regular or narrow. This happened twice. They were incredibly uncomfortable and caused serious foot pain. Before that, I had a pair that fit right and was comfortable, but they literally fell apart after just three months of wearing them. For the price point of around $100 a pair, these are worse than what you'd buy at a discount department store. There are definitely other brands out there making properly sized shoes that are comfortable and actually last. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
I've dealt with them since February and went through five pairs of shoes, plus had to file two complaints with the Better Business Bureau before finally getting my money back. I've been a customer for over 20 years and the quality and service have both taken a nosedive. You really have to stay on top of them, document everything with photos, and file complaints with the BBB to get anywhere. Don't just give up like most people do, because they're counting on that. They'll keep your money if you let them.
I paid an extra $15 for two day shipping. It's been five days now and my shoes haven't arrived. Their customer service keeps giving me the runaround instead of actually helping. When did good customer service become so rare? It's pretty disappointing.
I've been a customer for over a decade and have noticed a significant drop in quality. My shoes used to last me a full year or two without any problems, and I felt they were worth the cost. Recently though, the durability has gone downhill fast. Now I'm only getting 6 to 8 months out of each pair, even though I spend less time on my feet these days and more at a desk. On top of that, prices have nearly tripled compared to what I used to pay. There's no way I can justify spending that much on shoes that don't last nearly as long anymore.
I got work boots from this company through a major online retailer. We left them outside to use for walking the dog and the material inside stretched out so much they became unwearable. I reached out to the manufacturer to see what they could do. For the next four months we went back and forth via email getting nowhere. They'd ask for information, I'd provide it, then silence. I'd contact them again and they'd ask for the same information despite it being right there in the previous messages. After that went nowhere, I asked to speak with a manager. For two months they kept saying one would contact me. It was a complete waste of my time.
Let me break down why this company is awful. I bought a pair of shoes that were decent for work and wore them for about six weeks. Then the sole started separating. I called and since they were still under warranty, I got an exchange. Instead of replacing them with the same pair, I ordered a different style. When they arrived, they were too tight. The store advertises a 30 day no hassle exchange, so I figured I was covered. I called and they seemed fine with it and were about to send a return label when they said it was past 30 days. I kept trying to explain that these new shoes were only about two weeks into the 30 day window since the first pair's purchase date wasn't relevant. They insisted I was almost at 60 days because they were counting from when I ordered the first shoes. So the moment the second pair shipped, I was already out of warranty. I called back and refused to hang up until I got someone with actual authority. I was on that phone for over an hour going in circles.
I've bought three pairs of the Old School Low Rider in black for my three daughters who work part time at a fast food place and they say they're really comfortable to wear all shift. They even include a little plastic tool so you can clean out food stuck in the sole treads. When I've had to call customer service in the past, the person I spoke with was very helpful and professional.
