Canon lets you do things the old-fashioned way. No mandatory subscriptions unless you want one, and I don't. I buy my own ink and paper, and I'm loving it. Support is available whenever I need it. I'm never going back to HP.
Their customer service rep was really hard to understand. I politely asked him to repeat himself several times, and then he just hung up on me.
My order got cancelled out of nowhere with zero heads up, and it totally derailed a professional shoot I had lined up. Losing that paid gig because Canon pulled the plug without explanation is just not okay. Professionals need reliable vendors they can count on, and this kind of surprise cancellation destroys that trust. I've already taken this up with their management and filed a complaint with the BBB. I can't recommend Canon to anyone in my industry unless they get their act together and fix this problem.

Got a Pixma 922 printer and found out there's literally no way to get it working with Windows 11. The printer acts like it's doing everything right but won't actually put ink on the paper. I've tried every single step they recommend and still nothing prints. They offered a 10% discount to upgrade, but I've already spent way more on ink cartridges than that. The discount needs to be way bigger because I feel like I got ripped off.
Grabbed the ts3620 software and spent forever trying to get the wifi going. Nothing worked, and the usb connection was just as bad. Blew fifty bucks on a printer that turned out to be totally useless, even though Canon made it sound super simple to set up.
I've had two Canon Pro-1000 printers and the first one had the print head fail out of nowhere. Sure, you can swap it out, but it's six hundred bucks. And there's no way to get a refund. A friend gave me a second one since these things cost over a grand, and now the maintenance cartridge door lever snapped off so this one won't work either. Canon shows the part online but you can't actually buy it. There's nowhere to get professional service on such an expensive machine. I'm completely done with Canon.
