Then they added some other random fees and the total ended up being $87. I should have walked away right then. The shorts took almost 2 weeks to arrive and I definitely didn't get what I paid for in shipping. When I tried to return them, they only refunded $63 and kept an $8 handling fee. Are you serious? Then they tell me I have to wait four weeks after they receive the item to get my money back. Never again with this company. I'm from Santa Cruz and used to love supporting a local brand but once I moved away I'll never order from their website again. Their customer service was absolutely terrible. They just lost a lifelong customer. I won't buy direct from them anymore.
I paid $35 for overnight shipping on 5/20/24, which their website clearly stated would arrive within 1-3 business days. I had plans to leave town and needed my order in time. It's now Thursday 5/23/24 and my package hasn't even shipped yet, let alone been fulfilled. They emailed me Tuesday saying I'd need to sign for it, which was fine, but when I asked when it would ship, things got messy. After multiple back-and-forth emails over several days, they kept saying it takes 1-3 business days just to leave their warehouse. That's completely different from what their website advertised. I sent them a screenshot showing "ARRIVES in 1-3 business days" for the $35 overnight option, but my order still hasn't shipped or been processed. Since I need to sign for it and won't be here, this whole situation has ruined my vacation plans. I was counting on these outfits for specific photos at a particular location. I paid for a service that was clearly advertised and I'm not getting what was promised.
I've purchased O'Neill Psycho Freak wetsuits for many years. In the past I could get three or even four seasons of use out of them. Now the seam sealing on the inside is completely falling apart after just one year and is pretty rough by year two. Makes the suit scratchy and uncomfortable to wear.
I'm almost 50 years old and you used to be my number one brand, but for the last 20 years I can't seem to find anything from you that catches my eye. I'm looking for bold bursts of color with wild but simple designs. What changed? Go back and look at your designs from 20 years ago and recreate that magic. Please. I really hope you'll do this.
Be careful when visiting their website. The customer service is absolutely terrible. I got a message saying too many inquiries and that they were welcoming other customers instead. Everything seems to be perpetually out of stock and they cancelled an order that had already gone through. When I asked about alternatives, they said they didn't have any even though the product name had changed. I'm going to dig into this more but I'm done ordering from them. Something feels off here, like maybe it's a competitor trying to sabotage them. I also want to mention I'm not into basketball and I'm skeptical about other brands too. I just hope they haven't linked my purchase to anything basketball related because that's not my thing at all.

They list tons of items as in stock when they're actually out of stock, and even after you order and they tell you something's unavailable, it stays listed as available on their site. Honestly I wonder if this is some kind of fake site set up by competitors to trash their reputation.
I've been a customer for a long time but recently discovered they have a scam shipping process. If you're buying from their website, be super careful. They give you different shipping options and you can pay up to $25 for next day air delivery. Here's the thing though: it doesn't matter to them at all because every order takes 3-4 business days regardless. It's a total scam. I've been ordering from them for years and I've chosen 2 day air, I've chosen free shipping, and everything arrives around the same time frame anyway. Do not pay extra for Next Day. They're stealing your money.
For a company this size and with a brand name like theirs, they really need to get their act together. Nobody answers their phones or returns your calls, and their support email takes days to respond. When they finally do answer, they don't give you any actual solutions. They need to step back and completely reevaluate how they operate. I won't be ordering from them anymore. Do not order online. Your products either won't ship or won't arrive.
The wetsuits are great but their service is terrible. I ordered 3 wetsuits with 3 day delivery promised. It's been a month and they just now told me they oversold everything. They initially said there would be delays and then took a full month to finally let me know the items aren't coming at all.
I placed an order and got charged immediately. They said it shipped but the tracking shows it's still sitting there 9 days later waiting to be picked up. I've sent two emails to customer service with no response after 3 days. Called and they put me on hold for 10 minutes then disconnected the call. I'm filing a claim with my credit card company. Will never order from them again.
